Symbiosis Events was founded on strong principles of environmental consciousness and ecological sustainability. Each event has continued to advance this vision through the implementation of both time-tested and innovative eco-action initiatives. Specific benchmark goals have been created for the annual Symbiosis Gatherings in 2006 and 2007, with Sustainability Reports prepared to track results. The 2006 and 2007 Gatherings also included a pre-event Permaculture Intensive, to prepare the land and build community interaction with the local ecosystem.
