Symbiosis Events was founded on strong principles of environmental consciousness and ecological sustainability. Each event has continued to advance this vision through the implementation of both time-tested and innovative eco-action initiatives.

Specific benchmark goals were created for the annual Symbiosis Gatherings in 2006 and 2007, with Sustainability Reports prepared to track results. The 2006 and 2007 Gatherings also included a pre-event Permaculture Intensive, to prepare the land and build community interaction with the local ecosystem.

Our partnership alliance with EcoGatherings, a green event consulting firm, allows us to expand our range of opportunities to innovate in areas from waste/surplus management to environmental education. Visit EcoGatherings.com for more information about green events and eco-logical practices in event production.

Symbiosis Gathering 2009 is also totally free of corporate sponsorship. This means that all our eco-initiatives are budgeted fairly, as legitimate elements of the production, and not subject to outside influence or motive. Enjoy this escape from mental pollution while you’re at Symbiosis this year.
