Bring Your Family to SG09: Kids Welcome!

Kids 12 and under are admitted FREE to Symbiosis Gathering 2009 when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We encourage all families to be aware of the special challenges a festival environment may bring, and to prepare accordingly:

  • ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY: Hearing Protection!
    Please be sure to bring comfortable and convenient hearing protection for children, especially very young ones! There may be loud music with heavy bass playing all night - possibly near your camp. Please consider the sensitive and developing ears of our little ones! Children seen near dancefloors without hearing protection will be sent back to camp with you. Seriously, it’s that important.
  • Sun and Swimming Gear for the Lake
    Bathing Suits! Sunscreen! Towels! Floaties! Be sure to bring everything your family needs to enjoy the sunny days at the lake. We’ll have a lifeguard on duty, but you are ultimately responsible for your children and their safety. Don’t leave young children unattended at any time - but especially near the water.
  • Snacks & Drinks for Camp
    Kids sometimes want snacks and drinks at ‘inconvenient’ times, and they may not always enjoy the festival fare or be willing to wait in line. Be sure to bring a stash of nutritious favorites to keep little ones happy, hydrated, and well fed! Energy bars, dried fruits and nuts, and single-serving juices are some suggestions.
  • Extra Warm Clothes and Blankets
    It gets cold at night in the mountains! Make sure you bring lots of warm and snuggly gear - including extra socks!
  • “Aunts and Uncles” to Help Supervise
    Kids need a lot of supervision at a festival. It’s a lot of work for only one or two people! Be sure to recruit some friends in advance to help share the fun.

This year we have a dedicated space for children and families to relax and enjoy the festivities. The MagiKidz Village will feature fun activities for little people and their friends, like:

  • Sipping Lemonade in the Shade
  • Playing Circus Games
  • Face Painting
  • Dance Playshops
  • Storytime
  • Fun Surprises!
